A Christmas medley
Oboe, clarinet in Bb, trombone, snare drum, triangle, bass drum (or floor tom), sleigh bells, wood blocks, glockenspiel, string quartet (1111). Arrangement based on a medley of four themes: ‘Sleigh ride’ (L. Anderson), ‘Have yourself a merry litlle Christmas’ (R. Blane / H. Martin), ‘Jingle bell’ (J. Lord Pierpont), and ‘We wish you a merry Christmas’ (traditional). Written and premiered in 2015. Artists in residence of the Kalamazoo Symphony Orchestra.
